WHAT IS A WAYLEAVE?

Granting you right of use

Let us assist you...
A wayleave right of way granted by a landowner for the purpose of carrying out work on the land. For example: The laying of cables or pipes, digging in the road re-serve and more.

This essentially grants you the right to use the land without owning it. One of the functions of having a wayleave in place is to ensure that no damage is done to existing infrastructure, such as power cable, roads and water pipes to name a few.
